    With the great satisfaction we communicate an edition for the first time, without hypocrisy, history of the Prusai people. Despite the numerous, fragmented, scientific publications, honest and impartial historical work in its entirety, has not yet appeared.

    For the general reader, reading many fragmented sources to compose this knowledge into a whole, would be extremely difficult challenge, and certainly could not keep himself from the misstatement.

    Author Lech Niekrasz before writing this book, nearly two years he devoted to paging through old newsreels and scientific sources.

    From the late thirteenth century, there is continuosly reproduced the knowledge, that the Prusai did not survived the Teutonic genocide. (To give an idea of the size of this barbarism, need is, to compare with German standards of the XX century to XIII century genocide, it means close to 4 000 000 people exterminated, almost the size of Auschwitz.)
    So far, none of the scientists, wants to notice, that only the surname of Prus is repeated 7,000 times, that Coat of Arms of Prus I,II and III has more than 700 families. This Coat of Arms is most abundant in the Polish heraldry.
    How many of Warsaw people know that some of the districts of Warsaw, Okecie, Powsin, Rakow, Rakowiec, Opacz, Jeziorna, Zielonka, etc. were inhabited, or were held in the fifteenth or sixteenth century by the Prusai families Okecki, Powsinski, Rakowski, Opacki, Jezierski or Zielenski.
    Coat of arms of Prus could affect a much larger number of Prusai families. Were recorded only those families, that have occurred in the annals of - because, of course some accidents, or cases occurred in the old court and land records.
    In Europe, the Prusai were the last free people, among them there was no serfdom. Everyone referred to the Prusai Law, free people, claiming their affiliation with the coat of arms of Prus.
    While not all families have been reported, it is among the 10% of the noble society of northern Mazovia, 5% were the Prusai nobility, often without the enclosure. Just look at the map of Poland prepared by Mr. Leszek Windak, maps based on prof. Hedwig Chwalibinska, as the coat of arms of Prus, Prusai were scattered throughout Poland.

Where and when taken rise the name Mazur? The current study was unable to explain its origin. There are repeats over 66 000 times. The name Masuria officially appears only after the Partitions of Poland, end of XVIII century, as a result of German naming Masuren.
In Poland, Mazur reported the word in the early fifteenth century, in a completely different context and of Slavic origin, having nothing to do with Prus land. Much later was attached to the Prusai Mazur. Mazur's name is most common in southern Poland and is not derived from Masovia region.
Below , the modern map, shows the territorial division of Prusai land after the Peace Treaty of Torun in 1466.
Deserves special mention Lubawska Land, the land of the Prusai. In this land the genius of Frederic Chopin spent his youth in a couple of times on summer vacation. On this land, overpopulated by Prusai people, suffered an inspiration to later Mazurkas brilliant composition.
The name Masuria, was propagated by the Germans. It was not known in earlier centuries. Purpose of the Germans was clear - to hide the genocide and the existence of native Prusai remained still alive. They, Germans, began calling themselves the Prussians. During this time, the Prusai had the status of slaves without the basic rights of humanity, and thus, they had no chance of keeping with the Germans their Prusai identity.
Such naming Poland was relatively easy to adopt. It was important, that the settlers were identified with the Poles. The settlers were mostly Prus people on the overcrowded northern Mazovia, polonized Prusai, faithful to their land, traditions, culture and above all the customs. These were not easily to disappear. With them Chopin had the opportunity to meet during the harvest festival on Lubawski Land.
Historians and political matters are duplicated for centuries in platitudes. Why is this beautiful rich folklore was not in Masovia, only on Lubawska Land, in area not belonging to Masovia. Speaking of folklore, do not overlook Kurpii folklore, which has no equal, and not belonging to Masovia region.
Shown on the map below, Masuria, was on a deserted primeval forest area, most of the area Pisz dense forest, and at the time was so not even called.
It is important to show the historical hypocrisy of the wording of Masuria. To this day, some believe that they are Mazurs, only because this name they were given.
Even after the Second World War, the remaining inhabitants of this land, declaring:
"We are not Germans, but not the Poles, we are the locals".
On the map, below name Masuria you will find the inscription of cities, from the Ciechanow to Tykocin. This area is inhabited by Kurpii people.
Kurpii word is derived from Prusai language, "curpe", means a wooden clog. Likewise everyone determines this name, but without information from which language this term is derived.
Kurpii also called the Green are without a doubt the descendants of free Prusai.
Kurpii, were living without serfdom. Free people had their own local government, historical rarity in Poland. They are the descendants of the ancient region of Prusai called Bartia. This is confirmed by their forests attachement and maintaining the tradition of beeskeeping with an intact cultural diversity. Their speech, dialect, similar to Warmians. In the need of service to Poland never reluctant to serve, and in the service of her, were faithful and fearless in battle.
In Kurpii folklore, Prusai should look for echoes of their music, and many customs, in any case these people can not be associated with the Slavs. Do not mix them with a culture - Kurpii White - not so free and forced to pay tithes.
Much more could still be written about the wonderful people of Kurpii.

The Prus Society without mercy fights and will fight for historical truth, but for now "ruling elite" in Brussels and Warsaw, at this moment with them, we have no chance.
It is a total shame to the territory of the Polish region, that there is not in the outdoors, or in urban centers, markings of any symbols of before stay other culture. Slavic presence is only seventy years. Service of "elite" should be used primarily for the citizens and then to the Brussels.
We turned to three Polish MEPs to represent the Prusai. The answer was a total silence. Compromising correspondence with the stewards of Warmia and Mazury is posted on the website.

We urge the question to the heirs of the land of Prusai, its current residents. Do you enjoy your house on the empty land on the ground with no history?
No one disputes, such as, Polish President says, "the Polish amber routes", when they were, since the Slavs on the Polish soil have not yet been?
The other one, " a beautiful place God has given us" if the Lord God is called Yalta, congratulations to President of his extraordinary knowledge.
The term of another "miracle Masuria", but this is already a team of miracle-workers.
I ask why, beside the distinguished writer Boleslaw Prus, the determination of anything else naming the Prus, it is taboo.
Is this illiteracy, be expected to last indefinitely?
This is not aggression, but with such a significant presence of descendants of Prusai people in the Polish society, we look for and demand the disclosure of truth. This is a fight for all, for the freedom of knowledge.
On the other hand, we all did not come easily to this awareness of having the Prusai identity, only after laborious research in books, archives, etc., we realized that buried in all this is the secret of the Prusai people.

Several years ago one of the members of the Prus Society was proposed a candidate for President of Olsztyn. At the first joint meeting he proposed his project for Olsztyn, as a great tourist capital of the region, revealing its ancient history, culture and role on this land.
Modern design for tourists, the construction of international airport, railway station for tourists rail shuttle to the destinations of their hotel or agritourism sites etc. .. etc.
All died, because he demanded for the good implementation of these demands the cooperative support of the coalition party, with whom he was willing to seek agreement.
Today, nearly 50% of young people in the region, having no job, working abroad, and the government is pleased that Poland has a foreign income of extra currency. Without further comment.

In all the next elections, every vote is important. Giving voice to your rulers, as well as those who repeatedly were elected to represent you on the outside, ask yourselves whether they have made anything more for you, than what belonged to you from the Polish State.

In Western political cultures, the voter is not sitting at home, and hypocrites are not elected and do not sit in power. Voters bring their rotations. Did not work for them, they fall out. In this way also reduce the growth of corruption. We write it, because the fate of this land and its inhabitants are very close to us.

Descendants of Prusai living abroad, very active in getting ready to take appropriate steps to draw the matter to the international forum of the Prusai.
This is the message from almost the last moment, we have worked on this for about two years.
We received the news that this year a group of foreign lawyers will be ready for the battle for the people of Prusai.

Our task is to obtain about 100 000 entries of names. They will allow our representatives to indicate the body they represent. With this weapon will be able to undertake activities at the United Nations and the European Union. Bring the question of the German genocide, discrimination, the revitalization of ethnicity, culture and history of Prusai. The law is on our side, just need to be enforced.

The Prus Society, so as not to arouse suspicion that collects personal data, invites you to organize descent groups, or social groups. Each headed by a person who creates a list of names to support. The representative of a support group by e-mail prus@prusowie.pl can establishe contact with The Society informing us of the number of people supporting the revitalization of the Prusai. This list shall stop at home in hands of a shop steward.
Not everyone has internet. Holders of the internet, please spread this action. These lists should be correct. We have come very far, and now everything depends on every single entry. Every vote is important. In a true democracy this one vote prevails tide.
If support is not, it means that the Prusai and their descendants are lost in the abyss of history. No one else will perform this work. Report to us urgently it needs wide support.
Single persons with confidence in the Prus Society, may personally by e-mail report to us, we too will create a lists of support.
This initiative could lead to another event, when representatives of groups have expressed interest in the proposal. They are supposed to be meetings to make democratic decisions about the future demands of the Society. This not only is the concern of the Prusai, but also growing numbers of supporters among them.
We are not seperatists.
The Prus Society is open to all, not only in Poland but throughout the world, and also to other proposals.

Given the current incomplete state of Prusai knowledge about themselves as descendants of Prusai, as well as sympathizers of Prusai, demands are very ambitious from us. If you give us the current Polish apathy, we all lose.

From already organized Associations, we wish to know whether we can count on their support.

Case of the Prusai, not yet completely known, is gaining international attention. Note we mention that it is possible to name one of the universities Herkus Monte. Also, when translated into English, "Where you are, Prusai?" will be written the screenplay for Herkus Monte and presented in Hollywood.
But there is one condition to obtain attention on the international forum, we need to be supported on the idea of ethnic and cultural revitalization of the Prusai people.

By writing our history, being the only source of such a total knowledge of Prusai, we set the first step. In no case we diminish the value of many scientific papers and research relating to the Prusai.

We recommend the purchase of Prusai history, entitled "Where you are, Prusai?" (English translation is not finished). So that everyone have a full knowledge, what we say and to know dignity of Prusai people.
