PRUSSIAN HEROES
FURS VON RYZEN - PRINCE OF RESIA
Bernard Klec Pilewski, researching old archives, probably British, made his notes under above title. The early and unexpected death of
this noted historian and genealogist did not let himfinish the history of the Pilewski family, whose ancestor was said to be the Prince of Resia.
The land of Resia, situated in the heart of Pomezania, became the first target of the Teutonic Knights during the conquest of Prusia.

HERKUS MONTE - THE GREAT LEADER OF THE NATANGS AND PRUSIANS
An heroic figure without equal in contemporary Europe and later, which inspired the Polish bard
Adam Mickiewicz to write

the thick growth. However the Prus settlements could not compete the brick built castles put up
by the Teutonic Knights.

DIVAN KLEKINE - BARTS´ COMMANDER
The Prusians, when choosing its leaders, did not necessarily select them from their nobility, families
which were privileged because
of their wealth. Often the basis for their choice were natural leadership qualities, backed by courage
and valour.Such a leader was
the chief of the Barts, about whom fairly little is known. We do know, however, that during a bear hunt
he was badly mauled by one,
and after this meeting he carried many scars.

THE SAMBIAN NOBLE GLANDE
The Knights of Teutonic Order, in spite of their forces numerical superiority, continued the conquest of
the Prus lands using many types of brutal and deceitful methods. Captured hostages were murdered or brutalised
without regardas to age or sex. Women were ravaged by knights of the black cross during wanton feasts and orgies,
for which the Order was already notorious during the wars with the world of Islam.
