FURS VON RYZEN - PRINCE OF RESIA
Bernard Klec Pilewski, researching old archives, probably British, made his notes under above title. The early and unexpected death of this noted historian and genealogist did not let himfinish the history of the Pilewski family, whose ancestor was said to be the Prince of Resia. The land of Resia, situated in the heart of Pomezania, became the first target of the Teutonic Knights during the conquest of Prusia.

HERKUS MONTE - THE GREAT LEADER OF THE NATANGS AND PRUSIANS
An heroic figure without equal in contemporary Europe and later, which inspired the Polish bard Adam Mickiewicz to write “Konrad Wallenrod”. After pacifing Pomezania, the peace treaty of 1249 was not activated, with social structures of the Pomezanians being crushed by separating the leadership elites and resettling them far from its social roots.

AUCTUME, LINKA - PRUS LEADERS OF POGEZANIA
The name Prusia is probably derived from sanscrit “pursuah” meaning people. Around the year 1075 Adam of Bremen wrote about the Prusians as “Homines Humanissimi” - the most humanitarian of people.

GLAPPO - THE PRUS LEADER OF WARMIAN PEOPLE
The Prusian forts and settlements were usually built on the highest hill in a given area. Within a short distance, on the outside of every settlement, the Prusians planted specially selected bushes, which were constantly fended. The reason for this special care was that neither horse or man could pass through the thick growth. However the Prus settlements could not compete the brick built castles put up by the Teutonic Knights.

DIVAN KLEKINE - BARTS´ COMMANDER
The Prusians, when choosing its leaders, did not necessarily select them from their nobility, families which were privileged because of their wealth. Often the basis for their choice were natural leadership qualities, backed by courage and valour.Such a leader was the chief of the Barts, about whom fairly little is known. We do know, however, that during a bear hunt he was badly mauled by one, and after this meeting he carried many scars.

THE SAMBIAN NOBLE GLANDE
The Knights of Teutonic Order, in spite of their forces numerical superiority, continued the conquest of the Prus lands using many types of brutal and deceitful methods. Captured hostages were murdered or brutalised without regardas to age or sex. Women were ravaged by knights of the black cross during wanton feasts and orgies, for which the Order was already notorious during the wars with the world of Islam.
