CORRESPONDENCY SENT TO EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

21. 11. 2008

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Nearly three months have passed since I sent an Appeal to the European Parliament regarding the revitalization of the history and true story of the Baltic peoples known as the Prussians. Over 700 years have passed since the Prussians were biologically exterminated. During all this time there were no political means for anyone to act so as to restore the truth about the identity and history of the Prussian people. Any such attempts would have faced political repercussions, deprivation of property or even loss of life.

When appealing to the European Parliament I was convinced that the representatives of Europe in Brussels, in an era of freedom and democracy, be able to consider this forgotten episode in the history of European civilization. They also could find a righteous way of remembering the truth about the Prussian people.

The lack of any reply whatsoever in connection with the Appeal indicates that it is not so, and common decency would suggest that I should at least have received an acknowledgment from the Parliament of the receipt of the documents supporting the Appeal. This fact I consider to be an extremely unprofessional act by the officials in Brussels.

However, the thought arises that this is not just cavalier unprofessionalism. This subject is simply discriminated against and is politically “difficult”.
The biological extermination of the Prussians should not receive European approbation. Or perhaps there are forces in the European Parliament which are in no case prepared to accept that the story of this barbarism in Europe should see the light of day.

I am convinced that the time has come for history to be corrected and that once and forever we should finish the hypocrisy of Teutonic Prussianism.
I hope that I will see attention given to the Appeal and that it will be brought onto agenda. If it were to be lost, it is published in the internet under   www.pilewski.pl
I am enclosing a copy of the document confirming the sending of the Appeal to Brussels.

Yours sincerely

Slawomir Klec Pilewski

Dear Sir,

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter of 21.11.2008.
Please note that your letter sent on 27.08.2008 (poststamp) has not reached the Secretariat. You are therefore kindly requested to send the said documentation again, either per post or electronically.
Please see the European Parliaments website for details concerning the submission of a petition.
Kind regards and all the best for Christmas and New Year.

Nr 3
Dear Madam,
I will continue my correspondence in Polish language. In English I got nowhere. Perhaps my initiative to bring into attention a forgotten and ignored history of exterminated Prussian nation will be better expressed.

translation

I will start at the beginning. My Appeal was sent to the following address; Rue Wiertz, B 1047 Brussels, and this address can be seen on the copy of the transmission document sent with my letter to Brussels.
After receiving information from Brussels that my letter failed to arrive, I sent it again by electronic mail, but this time only in English. At the same time I started reclamation proceedings in the Polish Post. Their answer was clear; the courier package to the above address was delivered. This document is in the possession of Brussels. The correspondence recently received by me from Brussels does not explain anything and indeed poses many questions. I leave them for the officials in Brussels.
For the third time I am sending the Appeal in English as well as Polish, but only electronically, since the courier delivery failed and I have no grounds to believe that things will be different the next time. I intend to add to my Appeal. Europe is getting ready to produce a History of Europe. With the current state of knowledge about Ancient Prussians and German Prussia I ask the question; will it be truthful?
To-days activity of Erika Steinbach and its support by contemporary Germans, amongst whom knowledge of Prussia is non-existent, will not me to comment on as to what Germans remember about the past. I believe that if the history of the Prussians is not made available, the true History of Europe will be a falsified history.
With the end of the Second World War the 700 year Germanic rule over the lands of the Ancient Prussians came to an end. For the ethnic Prussian population this rule meant that nothing more was achieved for them than extermination and suppression.
I am asking Mr. Marcin Libicki, the Chairman of the Commission for Petition to the European Parliament to present my correspondence together with an Appeal.

Yours faithfully

Slawomir Klec Pilewski

Dear Sir,
In the name of the Section of the European Parliament which deals with the Correspondence with Citizens I confirm receipt of your letter in which you appeal to our institution to activate the history of the Prussians and you ask for financial help with cultural objects concerning this matter.
At the start I would like to apologise for the delay in answering, which is due to the enormous number of letters sent to the European Parliament.
I would like to assure you that your information concerning the history of the Prussians has been very carefully scrutinised. Unfortunately I must inform you that the financing of a museum or a monument does not belong to the competence of the European Parliament, which has a lawmaking role in the institutional system of European Union. The institution which looks after the realisation of community programs and the administration of resources in the budgetary framework of the Union is the European Commission. Dear Sir,
I would very much thank you for your kind answer. However in writing to the European Parliament, I was absolutely convinced that the subject of Prussians would be treated differently than directing the Appeal to the office of Correspondency with Citizens.
Personally I would like to know who made such a decision, as I consider it to be incorrect. If the Appeal was in fact carefully read then in first instance it should have been checked as to whether its data is correct and truthful.
I am writing this as I am fully convinced that the subject matter of Prussians is completely unknown, and perhaps even tabu.
I have personally had the Appeal to the European Parliament checked and verified for its historical authenticity.
I would thank you once again for your interest.

Yours sincerely

European Parliament
Commitee Petition

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
The office of Correspondence with Citizens of the European Parliament has directed me to the seat of the European Commission administering the budgetary resources of the Union in Warsaw.
However, my Appeal does not concern Poland, nor any regional development, and does not concern any business.
Directing me to the Commission is a great misunderstanding on the part of Brussels. I do not know of any case where the moral aspects are ignored and the problem is sent to the administrative peripheries of the European Union on the basis of “let others worry about what to do with this”.
For this reason I do not quite understand why I have been directed to the European Commission.
I do not accept this or the next option of sending me to the Ministry of Regions, which will in turn direct me to the regional official, in other words diluting the case of the Appeal and that part of European History which the Appeal concerns.
I have also not directed the Appeal to the European Parliament for Correspondence with Citizens. I treat this option as an attempt by Brussels to side line the facts I have presented, which rest on the conscience, to put it diplomatically, of European Culture. The crux of my petition does not concern the budget, or the bureaucratic principles of solving by the Union of the items contained in the Appeal. The crux is the ethical attitude to the so far undisclosed fragment of the European History. The financial side is secondary. As will be the conscience of the European Union, so will be the budget devoted to the project contained in the Appeal.
The descendants of the Prussians will be able to honour their heroes and themselves find ways to erect a monument to their memory. This subject the Parliament can leave to the Prussians.
Sending the Appeal to Brussels I had no intention of creating histeria on the subject of the Prussians but of presenting the historical truth which has been circumvented for hundreds of years, with the thought that European Parliament will accept this and will, with full respect for the destroyed Prussians, make a just decision.
Of course, I will turn to an European Parliament member to represent the Appeal in the Parliament, and if necessary as a last resort to the World’s Inteligentsia.
My sending of the Appeal to the European Parliament was with the thought that I am sending it to a legislative body. I believe that it has the facility to realise the crime performed on the Prussians and to undertake the correct decision regarding the memory of the Prussians.
In the Appeal I put forth my proposition as to how to honour the memory of the suppressed and exterminated Prussians.
Has the European Parliament accepted my suggestion?
Has the European Parliament put forth its proposition?
In other words, based on the highest ethics, morality, conscience and real desire of European Parliament members a resolution about the acceptance of an unknown part of European History can take place.
Only after this happens can we decide on the realization of the propositions in the Appeal. I expect a speedy analysis and determination in reaching decision, which I hope is not above your competence.
I have that determination and will with maximum consequence seek to implement the Appeal project to the very end.

Yours sincerly Slawomir Klec Pilewski

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Despite my strenuous efforts to the Parliament of the European Union took a call to revitalize the true story of Prussia, I got no interest in any European institution. I thought and still think that attention in this case should be in Brussels.
Brussels, asked me to note that the appeal should be sent to the office in Poland. Waited elections to the European Parliament, their vacation, I return back to the further course of the debate on the appeal, sending the appeal to you.
I want to stress that, certainly with all the determination will continue to appeal once started, until the settlement. As a full European, once again, I ask that this matter had taken a competent person to historical knowledge, and if it does not, it turned to a historian specializing in the history of Prussia. My appeal is public and is not intended to cause any hysteria. Please do not return me to the mayor of the village. If the bureaucrats in Brussels mistaken, giving this office, please tell me.
If another office in Poland should take an appeal, please send them to your reasoning, let me know the decision.
To become familiar with the topic of Prussia invited to websites, and www.pilewski.pl www.prusowie.pl
I look forward to your specific and forceful procedure, which not only wait for me, but the entire Association of Prussians.

Subject: your letter, which you to appeal to
the revitalization of the true history of Prussia

Sir,

Thank you for your letter, registered under number COMM / B / VA / A (2009) 12118 which I read with great attention.

If the goal of an appeal is adoption of a resolution honoring the otherwise tragic history of the Prussians by the European Parliament kindly inform you that addressing your request is not within the competence of the European Commission, executive body as it is and can only act implementing the will of Member States (acting as the Council of the European Union) within the limits laid down in the Treaties (the European Union and the Functioning of the European Union). Initiative of this kind could take MEPs, as rightly draws attention to the EP Division ds Correspondence with Citizens in a letter sent to you on 4 February of the former year.

If the goal is to encourage public bodies to implement the project described in the appeal suggestion is to contact with the Ministry of Culture, or the Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission (DG EAC).

If you take the decision to send an appeal to the Directorate-General for Education and Culture, European Commission Delegation in Poland may send the documents in your behalf. I would therefore ask for information which is your decision on this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Ladies and Gentlemen

Thank you for your response to my letter registered under number COMM/B/VA/A(2009)12118 I accept your suggestion to refer my Appeal to the European Parliamen and place it in the hands of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission (DG EAC).
I ask in my name, for the transfer of paperwork, which presently is in your possession, to the aforementioned institutions.
Ladies and Gentlemen, remember the tragic history of the Prussians. This history occured so long ago that it no longer requires compassion, but pity, and inclination over the tragic legacy of the civilization of Christian Europe, and the nation, to which Europe had given consent to carry out such acts throughout its history.
Our mission is to make sure this story not only sees the light of day, but that it has been settled for the next generation in the European consciousness, this form of accountability must exist in Europe. One simply can not gloss over or avoid authentic history.
In connection with my current experience with the EP deputies, I do not see constructive cooperation.
After the transfer of all documents, please feel free to give your data to the Directorate-General, as well as those who will work on this project together with the number of references. I want to draw to your attention and humbly remark, that the choice of people in this matter should be appropriate not to arouse the impression that the project may be delayed or even thwarted.

Dear Commission,

At the outset I would like to inform you that on 09.03.2010 with reference EAC/C.2/AB/afAres (2010) 125422 European Commission Directorate General Education and Culture in Brussels has sent a letter diverting me to a branch in Poland.
The case concerns a crime committed over 700 years ago, on the Prussian people and does not concern Poland, but contemporary then Germans, with the full support of Christian Europe. Letter from Brussels indicates that the Commission can not take the initiative directly, but the initiative of a European nature can support. In this case, the extermination of the Prussians in the thirteenth century, fully applicable in Europe.
I would like to inform you that the Prus Society has implemented this initiative.
The priority of the Prus Society is to clear the air of falsified Prussia history.
Publication of authentic, based on the sources and the latest research, historical work, written in the language of popular science. Accessible to a wide range of readers with the primary aim to present the truth of Prussia.
This item is in the process of writing and later in the year the Polish version will be ready for publication. But we will not achieve the purpose if the publication will not be translated into German and English.
For over 700 years history of Prussia was falsified, and now live in an age with a freedom of expression and democracy, we will be able to world and European to discover this truth and to share it.
Until now it was not a political atmosphere in Europe, to the history of the ancient Prussians could come to light, and it must have taken place. Reason enough to one.

The descendants of the Prussians in the next centuries will be able to feel safe, that the truth once and for all was discovered. There will be no danger from the thirteenth century, to eliminate the living bearers of the living.

We expect that the first support of the Commission will fully finance the writing and publishing of the History of the Prussians in Polish, German and English
Extermination of people, the Prussians and the falsification of their history through a convenient interpretation over the centuries, made it possible to repeat the crimes of the twentieth century. This was done with the full support, awareness and the acceptance of Christian Europe, therefore .........

THOSE WHO DO NOT CASTIGATE EVIL, AUTOMATICALLY STAND
IN THE SAME ROW AS EVIL .

The memory of this crime should also remain in memory for posterity. Therefore, it is a need for a museum in memory of the extermination name of Prussia.
For this project, above all you will need finance in Brussels, in cooperation with local administrative authorities, as well as the science dealing with the topic of ancient Prussians. All correspondence from the EP is included on page www.prusowie.pl including an Appeal to the EP in the subsite of the Association of Prussia, there are also other studies on the subject of Prussia. At the time come to an agreement with the Commission, the role of the Prus Society will be limited to the supervision and coordination of all regularity in the organization of the entire project.
I would like a meeting was held in order to thoroughly clarify the purposes and intentions of pursuing the descendants of Prussia. 700 year history of misrepresentation and lack of knowledge of ancient Prussia, nobody can justify.
If necessary, seek knowledge from the world of science from Pruthenia Association, which is a mine of knowledge, and in it the authority of Professor Gregory Bialunski.

Sincerely,

Slawomir Klec Pilewski

Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail queries contained therein.

At the outset I would like to draw attention to the fact that in the Appeal emphasize the need to revitalize the historic legacy of Prussia is to restore the forgotten history of Europe and the counterfeit. Moral duty of the bodies of the European Union to decide in the above matter and therefore eliminate the white spots that is the forgotten history of Prussia.

In any event, it can not be expected co-financement from the descendants of Prussia, and if so, only from German colonists who for 700 years have benefited from the land of the Prussians.

So much for "co-financement".

There are two projects to complete.
The first project is publishing a true history about Prussians in Polish, German and English. This will be a single volume work and at the moment 95% had ended its historical collection of the necessary materials, papers and old chronicles. 5% on the left there is consultation with the world scientific community. Polish version will be ready for publication later this year with the natural expectation that all costs will be incurred by Brussels. Ending with a description of this project, I ask what other information you will need.

The second project is to create a memorial depleted Prussians, and here I think is very bad manners to write about a possible co-financing the project, and yet this topic would not be if not for the murder perpetrated on them by Christian Europe, the Prussians should also sit today in Brussels. Is this not hypocrisy?

For the past two years were different fates of Appeal, including getting lost in Brussels.

For this reason, finding the participants in this project was not serious as it was not a serious search for which authority in Brussels must address the topic presented exterminated Prussians.

I would like to inform you that will take immediate steps to establish partners in this project, stressing that such can only be, the administrative authorities of Warmia and Mazury and scholarly society Pruthenia directing the research of the past and the Prussian land base in Olsztyn.
This appeal must obtain the support and approval of the relevant body of the European Union and only then can we think about the paragraphs on which you can implement this project. I have a feeling the intentions contained in the Appeal will finally be duly evaluated and understood.
This will allow you that ask whether you are in possession of all correspondence? If not, is published on the website under the banner of the Association www.prusowie.pl Prussia

Madam,

According to your needs please find a letter from Pruthenia Society as the sole authority of science dealing with the history of the Prussians.
If this is a project with a summary of my view, first I would expect the Commission's position to create a Committee of the Museum of Prussia.
This calls on my part to propose the Parliament of the Warmia-Mazurskiemu at this moment I can only present as a project of the Prus Society. Soon I'll be in Olsztyn and I will personally submit project proposal.
I can not expect a financial support. This is not a matter of Polish heritage is only and exclusively Western European culture of extermination on Polish territory. I would like to make known that the first chapters of the History of Prussia has already come out of the pen. Costs will be known before the end.
For other inquiries you I am ready.

Dear Mr. Speaker,

Am President of the Prus Society, whose goal is to revitalize the people the history of Prussia. Not Prussianism German as they do not all see the differences.
Earlier, the Voivvod advised to make contact with a local councils and met with the disdainful attitude that I can not tell you about Voivod.
Today we turn to another matter. From about two years exchanging correspondence with Brussels on the draft on the establishment of Warmia and Mazury Prussian History Museum.
Presently the project is considered by the Commission on Culture and Education - Poland, which is expected from the Prus Society, a summary of the descendants of Prussia plan for the project.
In connection with the implementation of this project, always took into account the commitment of Warmia and Mazury. Upon specific request from Brussels, it was time to also inform you about our intentions.
The whole subject is left in the Association of Prussia www.prusowie.pl
Appeal to the European Parliament and Mail.

We propose the following execution of the Prussian History Museum project:

1 The authorities of Warmia and Mazury give to the museum area available for construction in Olsztyn.

2 The authorities of Warmia and Mazury announce a tender for the project and the design.

3 Announce the tender for the contractor. The committee should sit on all parties concerned the creation of the Museum.

3 The European Union according to the estimate will guarantee funds, realization of it and finish the project.

4 Pruthenia Society oversees, manages the scientific nature and equipment of the museum. 5 The Prus Society, it will check the quality of performance, eliminate waste and unnecessary costs.

Each of these points, at the time of grant funds by Brussels on the creation of the Museum of the History of Prussia, should be carefully developed.
I put at the disposal of a meeting with the administrative authorities of Warmia and Mazury.

in connection with the draft of the project, which you sent to say that this project is not compatible with the objectives of the Culture Programme (2007-13), and above all with its soft nature, since P. Madam,

In many respects I find your answer very unsatisfactory. I find its form as an expression of a large bureaucracy.
In your opinion Museum is not "strictly" cultural project, please believe me I am not looking for interest at the expense of exterminated Prus people. If “ no question of construction, renovation of an object," I understand that, culture object should be set up under the sky.
At once, now I ask how to organize a project culture and whether such a museum under the sky would be open year round.
Honestly have no such experience and then to finance the Museum of the Prussians in the open air might have to count for finances. Madam I am open to all suggestions and look forward to such
from the Committee on Culture and Education.
The Appeal says, the whole Christian Europe participated in the extermination of Prussians. Therefore a project is international in nature.

Since collectively participated in the extermination of this I am confident that collectively will want somehow collectively recover from this crime.
Do you really not see the international nature of the project?
Madam, we are not talking about the Structural Funds, we are talking about Europe's cultural heritage, and that it is a cultural heritage is a project of extermination Museum of Prussia is to be reminded.
Undoubtedly, your competence and knowledge of Prussia is limited because the kind of how this knowledge could come.
Why did not receive a response to the "soft project" printed Prussian History. I am convinced that it will be a revelation.
Or suggestions for this answer because I'm not a bureaucrat, I expect from you.

Dear Sir,
I am giving you facts and formal requirements, which allow to ply for a grant from the Culture Programme from 2007-13, and which, as is clear from your e-mail does not meet your project and once again informed that the Culture does not co-finances investment projects and that you would have to have a co-organizer of three different countries that participate in the Program, not only as regards the scope of the project but a "conscious" cooperation, both financial as well as substance. At the same time before you suspect anyone of incompetence, much I ask to consult with the objectives of the Culture Programme (2007-13) and the possible alignment of your project to bet there requirements.
As for any construction or renovation, is still available to you only the structural funds, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and sponsors. I am not responsible for the so-called. legal base for the program and I can not change it for you, but my duty is to inform you that the project, which you sent, in its current state can not get funding from the Culture Programme (2007-13).

Dear Madam,

With great regret I have come to the conclusion that my appeal to the European Parliament has not been appreciated by you, to the extent that it deserves regarding the raised problem. This shows the desire to get rid of the whole issue by sending the Appeal directly to the bureaucratic representative in Warsaw. Pardon my frankness, but I do not think that the dignity and prestige of the institution of the European Commission in Brussels deserves such a negative attitude. It is difficult to accept that the European Commission can not afford a competent board to look into matters of history and culture with experts who would be able to undertake the solution of this matter, furthermore that this problem does not only concern Poland, but specially Europe.
That is why I am allowing myself to re-refer the matter to the Directorate-General for Education and Culture, European Commission, because factors identified by you in Warsaw, have proved their incompetence and inability to understand the whole issue, claiming their impotence by paragraphs of the law.
I would like to draw to your attention, to the fact that in this matter when talking about the need to open museums dedicated to the eviction of people and the museum about the Second World War, it is impossible to think that one could ignore the necessity for a museum commemorating the extermination, committed by Western Europe on Prussian people.
Thousands of living Prus descendants in Poland, Europe and Worldwide, would see the museum as the only form to fullfil rememberance, for the crimes of genocide, not to mention the fact that it is a incumbent duty on Europe of a moral nature.     I look forward this time, that a constructive response to this question put to you will come.

Yours sincerely,

Slawomir Klec Pilewski
